PROCLAIM HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE AND CRAFT SALE A ROUSING SUCCESS
In celebration of the holiday season, the Senior Center hosted a week long Open House and craft sale that included special guests, holiday lunches, entertainment, gifts, giveaways and plenty of egg nog to go around.
Dr. Michael Brantley was sworn in as Mayor and Mary Beth Jahn as Deputy Mayor at the Township Reorganization meeting on January 1, 2014.
J.Randy Bishop and Eric Houghtaling were sworn in for three years after being re-elected in November.
Midtown Urban Renaissance Corporation - MURC sponsored their 8th Annual Jeans & Jewels Holiday “Fun” Raiser dinner dance on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Hamilton Banquet Hall in Neptune.
Neptune Twp Police Commissioner Randy Bishop and his partner, Dan Margo, were married on Thursday, October 24th in front of friends and Twp family.
On Wednesday, July 31, 2013 Neptune Township Officials and staff of the Neptune Township Department of Senior Services and Senior Center honored 184 volunteers for their hard work and dedication to the Senior Center and to the community. Little League players from Kansai, Japan, visited Neptune on August 24, 2013 and played three games against District 11 All Stars.
After the exciting games, played at the Middle School field, players, families and volunteers were treated to a BBQ hosted by the BPOE Lodge #128. Mayor Eric Houghtaling and his wife Linda and Police Commissioner Randy Bishop met the teams in the morning and joined them for the tasty BBQ.
Proclamation:
The park was crowded on Saturday, August 24th as school supplies and book bags were handed out and hot dogs and hamburgers were devoured.The event was a community effort by MURC, First Pentecostal Church, Midtown Senior Apartments Residents Council and Neptune Township officials.
Representing the township were Mayor Eric Houghtaling, Police Commissioner Randy Bishop, Police Detective Gregory Washington, Reference Librarian John Bonney and Youth Gateway Supervisor, Hank Griffin.
