Musical Revue to BENEFIT Ocean Grove Great Auditorium
NENA IN THE DARK, produced by NENAproductions Theater Project of Ocean Grove, is a musical revue to benefit the Great Auditorium in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. This is a one night only event that takes place on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 7:30. The show will be performed at the Francis Asbury Manor, 70 Stockton Street in Ocean Grove.
The benefit includes Ocean Grove locals and friends of the theater and town who have performed on the stages of Ocean Grove. The family friendly revue is a collection of songs about light, dark, hope, love and friendship. The show was conceived by Nick Montesano, artistic director of NENA and Heather McLaughlin, a frequent performer with the company.
Montesano and McLaughlin are both residents and are joined in the cast by fellow current and former Grovers Laurett Gannon, Bridget Gannon Smith, Arnold Teixeira, Mike McEniry, Melanie Seewaldt, Jessica Berger and Bryan Vitalo. Also performing are Jennifer Nelson, Anthony Preuster, and Sandy Liddy Papp. Montesano directs with musical direction by Jeff Brown.
The performance space has been graciously donated by Francis Asbury Manor allowing all proceeds to go directly to Ocean Grove’s Great Auditorium.
