“The Lady in the Van” tells the true story of how playwright, Alan Bennett (Alex Jennings) forms an unexpected bond with Miss Shepard (Maggie Smith), a woman of uncertain origins who temporarily parks her van in Alan’s Lond driveway and proceeds to live there for 15 years. What begins as a begrudged favor becomes a relationship that will change both of their lives.
