Get up close and personal with some of the town’s most interesting vehicles
Rain date: July 17
Ever wonder how fast a police car can go? How loud is a truck siren? How many children can fit in the scoop of a bucket loader? How many times a year does a fire truck get called out to fight fires?
You can have all your questions answered at Neptune Township’s 12th annual Touch a Truck Event on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 6:30pm, at the Neptune Middle School Parking Lot on Heck Avenue. Follow the noise and you’ll find us!
You can get up close and personal with many of our town’s most interesting vehicles—including a police car, sanitation truck, recycling truck, ambulance, street sweeper, hazardous materials truck, fire engines, and rescue trucks.
In addition to the trucks, you can jump to your hearts content in an inflatable bounce, climb a rock wall or cool off under the spray of a fire truck! We appreciate the involvement from the Neptune Township Department of Public Works, the Neptune Township Office of Emergency Management, the Neptune Township Police, the Neptune Post Office, Taylor Towing, Ross Limousine, Armstrong Tree Service, and our local Neptune volunteers, first aids & fire squads. The rain date is Thursday, July 17, 2014.
For questions concerning the event, or if you have a truck you’d like showcased, please contact the Neptune Recreation Department, 732-869-1202.
