Veterans Memorial Park beneficiary of Neptune Township’s Mayor Charity Ball
Neptune Township Mayor Randy Bishop declared that the Veterans Memorial Park Fund would the beneficiary of the 19th annual Mayor’s Ball scheduled for Friday, September 28. Each year the Mayor selects a beneficiary or beneficiaries as the recepient of the proceeds. The Veterans Memorial Park was an easy choice for Bishop as he has spearheaded several fundraisers since the plans for a park were announced. The Veterans Memorial Park will be created at the site of the former Welsh Farms site (aka Wardell Dairy) on Old Corlies Avenue.
“The park will honor our servicemen and women who served our country with a special emphasis on those who gave the ultimate sacrifice” stated Mayor Bishop. He continued, “By purchasing a ticket and an ad, you can be a part of of this tremendous project, making the dream a reality.”
The Mayor’s Ball will be held at the Jumping Brook Country Club, Neptune. The Country Club donated the wine and cheese party for the initial fundraiser held in January. The Ball begins at 7 pm with hors d’voures and two hour open bar. Dinner is at 8 pm followed by dancing to “The Fever”.
