The sky was bright and the pond packed with fish this past Saturday in Neptune, as over 100 residents tried their luck at this year’s 5th annual ‘Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs’ event. The free tournament was held at the Hamilton Fire Company Pond and organized by the Neptune Township Police, Administration, Marina, Recreation, and Municipal Alliance Against Substance Misuse.
Santa Claus was the honored guest this past Sunday morning on the festively decorated front steps of the Neptune Township Municipal Building, bringing cheer to over 30 families who attended in previously scheduled, designated time-slots. Neptune Recreation’s outdoor, socially distanced event gave kids the opportunity to share their holiday wish list in person and pose for a photo with jolly ol’ St. Nick.
Neptune Township Summer Camp was a Blast
Neptune Township campers were excited to spend some active outdoor time together this summer. The six-week camp was filled with games, activities, contests, prevention messages, and a talent show! Several COVID precautions were in place, and staff, campers, and parents worked well together to make the program as safe as possible. Fun was had by all!
On Friday, August 14, 2020 Mayor Robert Lane Jr along with the Veterans Memorial Park Committee, honored two of our very own “Hometown Heroes”.
James Manning Sr along with the late Neil DenBraven were each honored. Mr. DenBraven’s family accepted on his behalf.
