“Volunteers - a Work of Heart”
On Wednesday August 5, 2015 Neptune Department of Senior Services and Senior Center Staff honored 161 Senior Center volunteers at the Center’s 28th Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon.
Senior Center Volunteers donated over 10,000 hours of volunteer time over the last year; and, words of appreciation were given by Township Committeeman and Senior Center Liason Randy Bishop, Monmouth County Division on Aging, Disabilities and Veterans Services Director Susan L. Moleon and Interfaith Neighbors Senior Meal Program Director, Sandi Silber.
A Proclamation from the Neptune Township Committee was presented by Committeeman Randy Bishop and gifts were given to all the volunteers in recognition of their hard work and dedication. Volunteers also enjoyed receiving special door prizes during the festivities.
A BBQ Country buffet style lunch was served and entertainment was provided by Neptune’s own local DJ Tom Lynch.
